Young people have unique and valuable perspectives to offer leaders. However, too often we find ourselves ministering to young people rather than ministering with young people. Spend some time reflecting on the questions below as an individual, or as a team, in light of your ministry context. Want to share your thoughts with the larger NYI community? Use #NYITalk on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram to start the conversation.
- How can you make students more comfortable expressing their view point about your teachings and practices?
- How do you respond to students that appropriately challenge your teachings and practices?
- What have you learned from engaging with students about the beliefs and practices of our faith?
